THE INFLUENCE OF MY PAST TEACHER ON MY LIFE

Everyone has many influences on their lives both society and economy but for me what influence me a lot is my past teachers who provided me many lesson-learns in real life practice and in society circumstance. However, I also recognize my desire and willingness which force me to major in TESOL. I think my past teachers were optimistic people who guided me in the good desire within the society’s needs. I had a lot of teachers who influenced me, but the most influent one was my secondary school teacher. When I met my first open-minded teacher he always smiled at me and gave me hope in life. Actually, he was helpful teacher because when I could not decide which solution was the best he always came up with the good solutions. When I met him I often did the communication with him and asked him some things that I wondered in my mind. During he was teaching he advised to be a teacher. He explained that being a teacher could help both our own family and society and being a teacher would be able to be recognized as the moral and educated person in the society. That means we could earn our reputation and destiny with our knowledge. What my past teachers or teacher provided me are the best advices and these made me remember and willing me to a good teacher.

Even though being a teacher is not good for Cambodia society now it will good for the near future while Cambodia needs more teachers to build human resource to compete with the region and the world.  Particularly, my past teachers were the most useful impetus for my present and future decision because I can see their points of view and the situation in Cambodia. They match each other.

For my opinion, to be a teacher is very critical career that every society needs. The teacher’s job is to build human capacity and ability to live in the society within the majority of the population. However, every society cannot exist without the teacher and teacher cannot also exist without education, so teacher is extremely important for society. Whatever happens to my life I still want to be a teacher and when I am a teacher I will be an educated person.

To reach my goal, I have to study hard with my majoring courses in which they will help me to improve my knowledge and reach my goal. I will find skillful teachers with the basic courses of TESOL who will provide me good example of being a teacher and being a skillful teacher in the future. If I can be a teacher I will provide good education with good advice to all kinds of students. I will earn my reputation and destiny with the teaching career and I like teaching every much. I cannot think of another career which I like more than being a teacher.
